Who ever said it would have cross platform multiplayer? PC servers and PS4 servers. Separated by time and space.
More has been done... |

Freccia di Lybra wrote:So, wait. Both of you said it should have two separate servers: one for PC and one for PS4.
But it must be linked to Eve, how would you link three games one another, if two of them must never meet?
What about, null sec districts, if any? What would they do?
District 5 is under "corp. A" control, but it's also under "corp. B" control on PS4? So far, I haven't heard much about Legion having a strong connection to EvE. |

See, you are just assuming there will be a link, even though none has ever been promised.
There was a link promised for Dust when it was announced, and it (the link) hardly even exists. There was no link promised on Legion announcement. I wouldn't hold your hopes too high...
Sure, it is logical for there to be a link, but we don't have logical devs, do we? |

sony would have to make software to multi platform across windows, which is owned by their direct competitor for hardware/software. Not sure if sony could just do it without support? mollerz wrote:You guys need to check out Gaijin. They are a small studio compared to CCP yet they managed to put out War Thunder. Ps4 and PC players fight together and against each other. Afaik, there's no technical issue: FFXIV:ARR is totally connected between ps3, ps4 (soon) and PC. But it's not an FPS! It is relatively easy to balance on an MMORPG (or any other kind of game) between console and PCs, but what about FPS? There's no way a competitive FPS console gamer accept to challenge a competitive FPS PC gamer! Actually, with the almost nonexistent deadspots and encreased fidelity of the DS4, along with slight (slight!) aim assist, I'd imagine the DS4 would be just as good, if not superior, to M/KB. |

I don't know, I can't tell you any personal experience because I don't have a PS4 yet. But between an aim-assisted Dust 514 and planetside 2 on PC, it's much much easier for me to stay on target on PC...and I'm absolutely not to be considered a PC-gamer! Believe me, the DS4 is a thing of beauty.
I'm not even sure if it has deadspots. Its comfy as all get out. Triggers are smoooooth. Squeaky at first, but they get quiet as a worm fart after breaking them in. The sticks have FAR more directional control, and a much more comfortable gradient of speeds.
Overall, I'd say the DS4 is the single best controller ever released with a console. With a miniscule amount of aim assist, I'd say that it could be competitive with MKB on PC. |

The offset thumbsticks of the Xbox are still greater than the DS4. DS4 was so close to offset thumbsticks too and they decided against it at the end because of brand separation between xbox and playstation. Unfortunate, because the DS4 does feel like a better built controller than the XB1 controller. XB1 controller just feels.... cheap. The symmetrical thumb sticks are more accessible to southpaw. Also, the preference of offset sticks is just that, a preference, as there is not hard evidence that it is superior. I personally prefer the symmetry and am glad that Sony opted for it. |
